Good morning. I am sure by now all members have heard that Verizon is requiring a lunch break on non-scheduled days. They are quoting the work rules. After a long conversation going forward, if you are coming in on a non-scheduled day and working eight hours, and you don't want to take a lunch, you must notify your supervisor or the duty supervisor that you intend on not taking a lunch. Make sure it's by email or text to cover your ass. Also, if you take a no-lunch, do not get caught eating or going to a fast food joint. Verizon will see that as stealing time and, if on overtime, the punishment will be termination. Please call 540-323-1265 if you have any questions or concerns.
